Effect of the anisotropy of martensitic transformation on ferrite deformation in Dual-Phase steels

چکیده

The volume increase and shape change during austenite to martensite transformation in dual-phase (DP) steels are largely accommodated the microstructure by deformation of surrounding ferrite matrix. Accurate estimation transformation-induced via experiments modeling is essential for predicting subsequent mechanical behavior DP steels. This study aims illustrate disadvantages simplifying anisotropic isotropic dilatation ferrite. A novel methodology developed comprising sequential experimental numerical research on quantify strains combines results prior grain reconstruction, phenomenological theory crystallography electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) orientation data estimate variant-specific deformation. Subsequently, comparison full-field micromechanical calculation a virtual steel with EBSD kernel average misorientation geometrically necessary dislocation measurement it shown that neglecting shear associated martensitic leads significant underestimation prediction
